How difficult is it to transfer from a UC to a UC?
For example, Irvine/Davis/SB to Berkeley?
Would I need higher stats than those who are transfering from Community College?

thats very hard to do. Because you looked upon after CCC transfer and incoming freshman.

UCx to berkeley eh? big WOW. but its possible, and it has been done. just make your application shine and make sure your gpa backs it up.

yapps ucsc to ucb has been done before...

To be honest, for UCLA and UCB, the admission rates for CCC-to-UC transfers is only negligibly higher than the admission rates for UC-to-UC transfers. There's a table on this available somewhere on the UCOP website.

Don't sweat it, just do what you do best: get good grades and get involved.

the stats are similar...24.6% for four year college transfers, 26.9 for CCC trans.

I don't think think there is a preferential system based on what UC you went to...from what I've heard, lower division major preparation and GE fulfillment are vital, so finish them early and do well...that's essentially the key about 80-85% of admission weight imo.
