UC Transfer Chances

Hello everyone!

I was wondering what people thought of my chances for transfer. I was a very poor student between 1999-2003, and was academically dismissed from a community college with a 1.0 gpa.

I returned to the same community college in 2009. Since then, I've been much more focused on my studies. Through course repeating, academic renewal and good study habits, my overall gpa is now 3.6.

I'm a physics major, and I applied to UCI, UCSD, UCLA and UCB (this was a long shot "why not" sort of application).

I will have IGETC done in spring, and I currently have my major pre-reqs completed. Do I have a realistic chance getting into a UC?

Thank you for your help!

Also, I’m not TAGged anywhere. I really wish I would’ve known about TAG, I only learned about it while I was filling out my application in November.

Chance me: :)

All A’s in my prereq for major for Legal Studies @ CAL (I applied)

One stupid C in financial accounting. I will have have 3.5x-3.6ish during the FAL.
This fall grades: 4 A, and 1 C (I deserve it since i half-a**ed the class, and didn’t even open the book once).

So what are my chances at CAL

I think you have a decent shot at Cal & LA. You’re def in at SD and Irvine. Try the UC chance thread for more info, and good luck to you!

Sometimes they can be harsh, but a lot of the responses are well thought out and quite positive. :)
