i did not take foreign language in highschool. as a ccc transfer applicant under the igetc it says that you have to take up to 2 levels of foreign language. at my cc each foreign language is worth 5 qtr. units. is it true that uc's only give you credit for one class even though you completed two classes worth.

bumpbumpbuumpp

Are you referring to the Language Requirement or to the Arts and Humanities Requirement? If you're talking Language, 5 units at the beginning or higher level fulfils this requirement. If you're talking about Arts and Humanities, you must either take a 5-unit or two 3-unit courses at the intermediate level. Meaning, German 3a + 3b must both be taken for A&H.

my question is if for example i took french 1 & 2 and each class counted for 5 units equaling 10 units in total are they both given credit for the full 10 units when applying to uc's?
