Does anyone else know if you get "unit" credit for HS Foreign Language, or do you just get cleared for for the IGETC language requirement and receive no units??

You just get the credits, no units.

how would that work for someone who is majoring in linguistics and requires to put in the foreign language requirement grade for the uc app?

You’re a linguistics major as well?

Depending on where you apply the schools ask for 4 semesters of 1 language and 2 semesters of another language that is not a romance or germanic language. (So languages like chinese, japanese, korean, etc) Here is what I did, I took 3 years of spanish in high school and I decided to use spanish as my 4 semesters of 1 language. I used my transcripts to waive the spanish 101 prereq and took spanish 2 as a refresher. And then just continued to take spanish up to 104. Then you have to take a separate language. So i’m taking up to chinese 102.

Yeah??

imunster may it depends on the CC? I think my CC gave me credit, I was recently at the registrar office and the guy was saying you got credit for AP and I though he said my H.S. language course? now im second guessing myself lol btw do you know when we can change or add any new planned courses on our UC application?

wait, you turnes in your hs transcripts and the guy gave you ap credit?

not too sure what you’re asking.

you can edit your application with grades and courses in january.
