Hi all!

quick question about the transfer requirements for UCLA'S engineering school: HSSEAS Transfer Requirements — UCLA Engineering Office of Academic and Student Affairs

im hoping to transfer as a CS major which means i would have to take one quarter of chemistry. would a score of 4 on the ap chem exam from high school cover this requirement or do i have to take chem at my current UC? i know ucla gives chem credit for a score of 4, but im not sure if this applies for transfer applicants.

thanks in advance! :)

Yes you should get units for it. I would send AP credits to your CC also so they can clear you from the class they have there

oh i see, thank you! :)

is it necessary to have my local cc clear me from the classes covered? or will ucla automatically exempt me from this requirement when i send in my scores with my application?
my reason for asking is because im currently enrolled at another uc, not a cc.

Just report your AP credits on your UC application. There is no need to get it cleared anywhere unless you need it for a pre-req.
