Transfer to UCLA engineering (HSSEAS) - requires 2 classes of chemistry? confused

Hi,

Im kind of confused with the prerequisites for HSSEAS transfer. Well, I'm a UC student(EE major), but my school requires only 1 quarter of chemistry. (I satisfied the requirement with AP Chem.) I kind of sense that the course credits received in my school from AP scores do not count for credit in other UCs (since each campus has different rules for AP scores). Yet, the HSSEAS says that I shouldn't have more than 1 pre-requisite unfinished. So... should I say I will take a chem class in the future and don't take it, just to get around the requirement?

These are the websites I looked at
HSSEAS OASA | Transfer Requirements

and UCLA EE major requirement

Ahhhh... I was in the same boat as you. You should really try to get all your prereqs finished, but I was one of the lucky ones who got in even with 2-3 missing pre reqs. I only completed 1 semester of General Chemistry at my previous CSU. UCLA does require two quarters, try to take another semester of chemistry just in case (only if you have spare time). If you can't try to finish the other prereqs. Also, you can try to contact UCLA, or see them in person. I'm not a EE major but I am transfering as a CIVIL.
