As a prospective transfer student, I’d like to know how student life is at both of these university systems, considering that CSUs aren’t as popular as UCs and many of them have smaller campus sizes. For those of you who go to UCS, how much fun can you guys have on campus, considering the size of them? For those of you who go to CSUs, do you take pride in your school? How do smaller campuses compare to larger ones the UCs have?
I am from CO and have several friends that attend both universities, and they all really like their respective universities. CSU’s campus in Ft. Collins is HUGE though, I don’w know who told you that their campus is smaller. (Even if it is smaller numerically, everything is pretty spread out). The party scenes at CU Boulder and CSU are very comparable, very frat based, you can basically get into a party anywhere. The school spirit in both the schools are huge too, it’s always been a rivalry, but CU Boulder students tend to have a more elitist attitude, where as CSU students are more laid back, in my opinion. Overall, if you’re concerned about “having fun” and the social scene at the schools, you’ll be fine at either one.
@pandemonium1298 may you please clarify: are you referring to California college systems or to Colorado college systems?
I’m 99% sure he’s referring to the universities in California.
I’m pretty sure that whether it’s a UC or CSU, if you seek out “fun”, you’ll find it.
