Right now, I am considering majoring in applied math and am looking at colleges to apply to next year. UCB is on the top of my list because it has one of the best math programs in the country and that it is located in Silicon Valley, making it a magnet for employers. If I combine applied math with a minor in CS, how powerful of a combination would that be to future employers, especially given the prestige and strength that Cal has in both areas.
