Since I’m usually up at least till 12am, they need to stop telling me that it’s going to be the evening… I waited till 2:30am for the confirmation email and gave up, only to have it be at like 3am. (I was also up doing hw)

@Loyshi Nice! I’m from San Jose/Cupertino myself and I’ll be driving up there :)

Anyone receive the schedule for Bridge Transfer Weekend yet?

Did you guys get the email the coordinator sent out?

@SoCalLife310
Just got back from battling a midterm and now I’m back. I got the 6:08 email about finalizing the list of people going.

Maybe because they’re really busy, but it seems like they are never on time with additional information…
They said hey list was supposed to have come out yesterday evening.

Yeah they do seem to lag with keeping us updated…although I’m sure that planning such an event is no easy task. I wonder if @campfireweekend will get a spot, I mean now that the coordinator mentioned that a significant amount of people dropped.

@SoCalLife310
What would you guys bring with you for your transfer weekend? What essentials and optional items?

there is a link to a [bridges]Transfer Weekend website regarding what you should bring and suggestions in the confirmation email…did you see it?

@SoCalLife310 Wait, seriously? I hope I get off the waitlist!

@SoCalLife310
I meant in addition to that list of stuff. Like your teddy bear, laptop, homework and etc. lol.

@campfireweekend
The email message that might get your hopes up.
“I am currently in the middle of finalizing the accepted roster as there have been quite a few drops from the preliminary list. Please bear with me. I am formulating a detailed message to explain all of the questions folks have been sending me. That will come within the next couple of hours.”

The update is finally up!

@campfireweekend Any good news to share?

@Loyshi Well OBVIOUSLY my Cal teddy bear…lol. But nah, I don’t think I will bring too much else. Maybe my laptop? But I’m not sure that I want to be hauling that thing around in my duffel bag. I was thinking about bringing HW but who am I kidding, I won’t do it, so why bring it. What I AM planning on bringing is any paperwork that Financial Aid might need since I am yet to receive my offer…

@SoCalLife310 Got an email around 2:00 am asking me to reply if I still had any interest in going. Now just waiting for their response

@campfireweekend
Any good news in regard to your reply?

@Loyshi and @campfireweekend
Can you guys post and tell us how the event was?
I was really hoping that they would take me off the wait list but no such luck
Hope you guys have a good time, take pictures too please?

And if either of you are anthropology majors and wouldn’t mind sharing some information I would greatly greatly whole heatedly appreciate it.

^There’s the basic information.

Thanks for passing the info along @Loyshi
I had seen some of the info but not the itinerary!

@Loyshi In their email at 2 am today they said they’d contact me tomorrow if I was removed, so if I get no response by 2am (which is apparently the time they send everything out at) I probably wont be going.

I echo @AnthroFlo thoughts though. Take pictures and get back to this thread with any of the cool stuff that happened!

@campfireweekend
Go to where they are meeting at the bus with your signed paperwork and hope that someone forgot theirs.

@Loyshi I don’t think there’s a bus for people that live just across the bay. I am heading up to Berkeley anyway tomorrow, so maybe I’ll take your advice

Do you have a link to that paperwork?
