i wasn't admitted for fall. so im taking community college classes in the fall and then back to berk in the spring. cc classes start end of sept for me.

i just faxed in my forms. i had the same question and called them several times just to make sure :). they said to register as cal student. we'll see if they object tomorrow when i give them a call. hopefully everything goes through asap because classes are filling up quick !

Luba - Unit 2, all the way! We can throw amazing dorm parties as well as beach bbq's that will be the envy of all other colleges.

Unit 2? Is it co-ed? Do they have single rooms?

brandonconfidntl..what is your major?

Kelly, the Units have co-ed floors. I'm currently deciding between apt and the Unit (I forget which number is the transfer one) dorms.

luba, I was able to register for Summer Session C through tele-bears as a Cal Student.

My 2 cents on Cal housing,
Dorm life isn't for me. What happens if I bring a girl home? My roommate simply walks out? naaah Off campus it is..

anyone horny?

WillDO..I don't think you're desperate..I think you're sexy..

Trust me when I say that the feeling is...exquisitely reciprocated and shared Kelly ;-) I look forward to our meeting at Berkeley this fall...

willdo..have you decided to live on campus?

"Depends...what are you wearing right now sweety?"

Kell, I'm currently torn between getting an apartment or dorm. If I get a dorm I'd like to live in the Spends-Black hall in Unit 3 since it's reserved exclusively for transfer and upperdivision students. I actually have a friend who transferred and is currently living in Unit 3; it seems pretty chill.

However, I wouldn't mind going apt either as long as it's not past parker st. Walking to campus would still be less than 15 minutes and I wouldn't have to obey any silly dorm house rules or anything.

What about you?

"I'm wearing nothing but a blue and gold thong..."

mmm...that sounds like quite a view...although...that's still a little bit more clothing than I'm use to...

I think I am going to stay in the dorms the first year. It makes thing a lot simplier being that I live 8 hours away right now. Also, I don't plan on moving to berkeley until right before school starts.

Anyway..I have decided to check out the campus a week from Friday. I need a better idea of what each dorm is like and which is best for me...etc. I will keep the Spends-Black hall in Unit 3 in mind though.

Oh yeah, what kind of rules do the dorms have? Are you not allowed to drink..even if you are of age? That would totally suck.

After talking to more people, I'm starting to lean in towards the dorms a little bit more. It seems that most of the people I talk to have really enjoyed the experience and would reccomend trying it out at least once. Those that didn't enjoy their experience weren't really outgoing people in the first place.

You're allowed to if you are of age (thank goodness). But they have dumb rules about loudness levels and random room checks that can be a nuissance.

I'm concerned about -study environment.
