You guys prefer to live in the UCB dorm or off-campus apartment? I have financial aid, but it just seems that its extremely expensive if compared the rates. The reason that I have not turned in my housing application is that I had a very bad experience living in the dorm before. But now cuz I dont have a car, and living in the campus seems perfectly for me.
Since its already late, I would love to hear some ideas from you. I prefer a single room (2nd preference => double room) but all single gendered.

Any advice/suggestion will be appreciated!!

Hmmm, on the housing application, I requested all single rooms. My friend said that this late in the game, he doubts I'm going to get any offers. With that in mind, I am about 90% sure I will be living in an off campus one bedroom studio. I think its a lot better anyway. You can study whenever you want and so forth and don't have to get used to living with a roommate (for newbies like me).

Submitting your application this late would place you on the housing waiting list. That will decrease your chances of getting the selections you want, but I'm not sure to what degree. I'm planning on living on campus, mainly for the social benefit; I've never been an outgoing person, so I need an environment where friendship is basically forced on you. I think making friends would be a lot harder living off campus, but if you're willing to put in the extra effort, it may work out for you.

not yet, as long as you submit before the deadline all transfers are guaranteed oncampus housing, however, where you go is where they find room for you, IE dumptster, hahaha, in berkeley thats not even that bad

yeah..not really. plus, i already found a great apartment with three berkeley girls right next to clark kerr. i was just holding off on signing the lease on the off chance i would have gotten one of my singles =)

Arrrg I got a double in Unit 1!! I really wanted a Unit 3 dorm. I think Unit 1 is a mixed floor so I will have people my age, but not all of them will be transfers...hmm should I get an apt off campus or live in unit 1? Reccomendations?

WingZero - Are we at the same calso? Mine's on the 29th
Tallkell - I remember you saying that you wanted your own room. With 3 other girls, how big is your guys apartment?
mrmuirc - You're always welcome to come kick it with me man!

Hey WillDO..I will give you my offer if that's possible.

"I remember you saying that you wanted your own room. With 3 other girls, how big is your guys apartment?"

It's actually very big and spacious--has a big back yard and we each have our own room. BIG PLUS! I'm really excited about the place actually..can't wait to move..

Haha, I haven't been here in a long time! I got a double in Unit 3--I think that was my third choice. I couldn't even remember which of the three units were considered the "best".

But Wada is still mainly upper division. I'd think there would be more transfers in Wada than any of the options besides channing-bowditch and TUD.
