UCB TAP

Hello!
I recently discovered that UCB has a TAP program. I was wondering if any of you are in it and how you did got in the program. I go to LAVC, but I’m pretty sure this should apply to all qualified CCCs.

I’m not sure why @vonlost moved this out of the UC transfer forum since it’s a transfer issue and freshmen applicants will be clueless. Anyway, only some CCCs are part of it. You need to ask your advisor. It’s a program for low income, minority, or first generation college students. If your CCC has it you need to set up an interview with a UCB rep through your advisor next time he or she comes to your campus. It’s not honors-based (like UCLA’s) and there is no guarantee. It’s mainly a support system, but the program has a high transfer rate.

I am a minority, but are there any other requirements I must have before getting the interview such as a certain gpa?

No all you need is one of those.

The side column in this link shows the participating colleges. You need to ask an advisor to set up a meeting next time a UCB rep comes to campus. It’s a short interview. They just want to verify one of those qualifying factors. But your CCC needs to be on the list.
