UCB vs UCSD vs Pepperdine vs UCLA vs UCSB vs Univ of the Pacific

I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of the colleges I was accepted to. I was able to dwindle the list down to UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, Pepperdine, UC Los Angeles, UC Santa Barbara, and University of the Pacific (I was also waitlisted for UPenn, Reed, and Wake Forest).
I want to major in Biology and get involved in science research projects in college, as well as activities and amateur sports. Financial aid isn't too big of a worry, but could be considered a factor for a tie breaker (I am in state for the UCs).

I'm also kind of worried about a public school because there are so many people and I don't want to be completely overlooked. Should that be a concern?

Also, for the waitlisted schools, do I apply to a main school first and then back out if i do get into my waitlisted schools? How do those schools compare to the ones I got accepted to (especially in terms of bio major)?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated! :)

Berkeley no doubt. It’s the number one public school in the united states. If I were you, I would decide between UCLA and UCB, considering they are the most prestigious schools you were accepted to. A degree from Berkeley will get you a job anywhere, but beware, the workload is VERY strenuous
