UCD Bio

Hi guys, I'm a biology major at PCC. I'm currently taking Chem 1B and it looks like I'm not doing too well in the class. I think I might have to drop and retake it. If I do, I won't be able to take Biology 1C next Spring because the chem class is a prerequisite for it. What would UCD think about this? I already have a W from a physics course that I dropped. If I drop chem, I'll end up with two W's for the semester. I was initially planning to end this semester strong, but it looks like that's probably not going to happen. On the bright side, I'm acing my other two classes, and my GPA is competitive. I plan to retake the physics course in the winter. By the end of Spring, I'll be done with everything except the last bio course (assuming I drop chem 1B) and o-chem.

What should I do? Opinions would be much appreciated.

BUMP. Advice anyone? Drop deadline is tomorrow.

I was stressing about this too but found out you only need one bio class

That’s true. UC Davis requires only one Bio course by the time you transfer; series completion is recommended. But since competition is so fierce nowadays, I was just curious to know if it would be detrimental if I missed one of the Bio courses.

If you retake the class and receive an “A” or “B”, you should be fine.
