I just got accepted into UC Davis. I just wanted to know, is the UG scholarship the same as the Blue and Gold plan?

no.

blue and gold is basically fafsa + other loans you qualify for based on certain characteristics/handicaps you possess.

UCkittychen is incorrect.

Blue&Gold is a promise that your systemwide fees will be met through any combination of grants and/or scholarships. It can qualify anything for this purpose unless the aid is specifically earmarked for something else. Cal Grant is often the aid program that causes Blue&Gold to be met because Cal Grant’s tuition/fee assistance meets systemwide fees at UCs and is already earmarked for this purpose.

If there is a shortfall in your aid from meeting systemwide fees, then you will receive a UC Fee Grant. Some UCs do actually call this amount “Blue and Gold” while others will name it “UC Fee Grant.” I am sure there are other names that exist. This is most beneficial when:
[ul][]You are a freshman with Cal Grant B (covers the shortfall in tuition/fee assistance)
[]Systemwide fees increase midyear and Cal Grant can’t be raised to meet this
[li]You do not qualify for Cal Grant, but you do qualify for Blue&Gold[/ul]
[/li]

And as a side comment: FAFSA does not give you financial aid. It is a form that calculates your qualification for federal grant aid and loans.

@ Kender Thank you for clearing that up.
