Okay, so I got into UCR, UCI, UCD, and UCSB and I’ve narrowed it to UCD and UCSB.

I really can’t decide, because I’m SO confused about which one is a better school. I’m majoring in Political Science, and I know Davis is good at Agriculture and Vet/Animal Sciences, but…where should I go?

Help would be appreciated, thanks loads ahead of time!

UCSB! Has great paper, great school of creative studies, great program with the local city government, has UCDC program, very politically oriented, many internships, by the beaches, is gorgeous, and has a nice balance. Davis is if you want to be a vet, eye doctor, or farmer seriously.

To be fair, Davis might be nice for Poli Sci since it's close to Sacramento.

Could you explain that a little more to me? I haven't heard of it.

I was thinking of that too, and I know that they offer a possiblity to intern in DC while studying, which is something that def. attracted me. Gahhh I'm so tornnn!!! I LOVE SB's environment, but Davis is also sounding good...and my friend wants to go there, we might room together if I go.

UCSB all the way! But if tipping cow is exciting for you then pick UCD. =) Spend a whole day at UCSB, sit by the Stork Tower and watch students race to get to their classes at 1045-11am. Walk around the campus, lagoon, beach, and IV. At the end of the day you'll know if it's for you or not. If you're not hot UCD welcomes you with open arms hahah.j/k Check out this site. http://www.ucsb.edu/pop/

You will find a great education at either, I'm sure. UCD reputedly has the largest number of internships out of all the UCs. I believe that they have a number of students involved in California government due to the close proximity to Sac.

UCD has hands-down the stronger poli sci department. If you're serious about doing poli sci or anything related then go to Davis because you will find infinitely more opportunities for success in the field.

For other reasons why you should choose Davis and why it's better than SB read some of the other posts I've made..

Do you have a source for the strength of the political departments megathunder?
