UCD UCI or UCSB? Health Science

Hi guys! I am currently a community college student planning on transferring fall 19. Im trying to pick my classes for this upcoming fall but all three of these schools have slightly different transfer requirements. I don’t want to waste my time taking classes I don’t need so I would like to have a top school in mind. I am considering health science, pharmacology, and neurobiology. My main priority is education/how good their programs are, but it seems like they all have very similar rankings. I have toured all the schools and am a Davis native. I like Davis mostly because I am already somewhat settled here, I have affordable housing, friends, and a job that pays well and helps a lot with living expenses. That being said I hate the weather and people (locals) and do not want to live in NorCal long term. UCI was my top choice until I revisited more recently, because housing is expensive and I don’t think I will be able to afford what I have now. I worry that I will have to work too much to support myself if I go there and honestly the type of people in OC make me kinda uncomfortable. I did not consider SB at all until recently, mostly because of its party reputation. I understand that it is a reputation but I feel like I wont fit in with the students who have chosen it for its social life. Major plus is that the housing is cheap, and honestly I am not a fan of super nice neighborhoods. I have really enjoyed my time at community and do not want to be involved with the campus life wherever I go, but I do enjoy a party every now and then. Honestly my top choice would probably be a CSU
(Sacramento or Long Beach) but I heard UC’s are much better if you want to enter a research field.

Basically just want to know your guys thoughts and experiences/opinions please!
