UCD vs UCSB vs UCSD?

Hey, I tagged into all of these mid-tier UCs and I was wondering if anyone can list some pros and cons for transfers to these UCs? Which is more "transfer-friendly"? Which has a higher transfer student percentage? And which has a "better" humanities program (especially English and Linguistics)?
I've been to Davis and I love the atmosphere. I also visited UCSB 2 years ago, and I really liked the campus. I'm not really familiar with UCSD...
Does anyone have some input?

Well if you look at Grad programs for English, it goes #26 UCD > #29 UCSB > #41 UCSD so they’re all pretty close.

I love UCSB because it feels like a real University with school spirit and parties. I’ve heard UCD is also very nice. UCSD is known as being socially dead, so lack of social and environment combined with lowest ranked English grad program would put this is last place for me. I say visit all of them and stop by the English departments…after that, I’m sure you’ll have a reference…but in regards to rakings, I can only base this on the grad programs.

Thanks for replying so quickly! Yeah, UCSD is my last choice of these as well, for now. But I think I could very well choose UCD and UCSB over Berkeley and LA (if I get in). My dream school used to be Berkeley, but every time I go to visit friends there, it seems to me like I wouldn’t fit in there… As for UCLA, I’ve never been there, so I don’t really know much about it other than its high rankings.

I love UCLA!! If you get in, go visit =)

UCSD is only socially dead if you have nothing to offer socially. You are not attending Grad School so those rankings are entirely irrelevant. UCSD will give you the most prestigious degree. I’d say that UCD and UCSB are very similar except in the fact that one is located in SoCal and the other in NorCal. If you attend UCSB, you will be living in Isla Vista. Isla Vista is made up of about 60% UCSB students, and 40% SBCC students. This creates a very diverse environment and is very welcoming for transfer students. They are all great schools so asking for the opinions of others isn’t a great way of determining which is the best fit for you; you need to go visit each campus!
