I failed my first class this semester as a Junior. I got an F in my Statics class despite my best efforts. As a result, I only earned 9.0 out out 12.0 credit hours. I have been to the Finaid Office two times and have received two very different answers. Once I have been told that I'll be fine despite failing and that I only have to pay them back for the class. Another time I have been told that I need to take 15.0 credit hours this upcoming spring to make up for the lost 3 as well as maintain my above 3.0 GPA. I'm also using my first grade forgiveness. My question is will I be allowed renewal for my BFS as long as I earn 24 hours at the end of the spring semester even though I didn't earn 12 this fall? Thanks guys. I'm really worried here and I won't rest until I know for certain. :/ Any suggestions are welcome.

I’m pretty sure they give you one semester of ‘warning’ before they cut off BF. A friend’s child screwed up an took a non-credit class so ended up with only 11 credits. He kept his BF (until he lost it the next semester). My nephew also lost his because of grades but had it reinstated.
