Thanks for taking your time to read this... If you would like please post your high school stats.

Yes. It just means that they’re holding off on a decision until they see more applicants. I know many people who have been accepted after being deferred. Hopefully it’s the same for us…

robby2306 - your friend who got deferred and then admitted yesterday, did he/she reach out to the admissions office? what steps did he/she take once deferred? And may I ask what was the timeline 1) when did they apply, 2) when did they get deferred 3) when/what action did they take (i.e. new testing, letter of rec?, etc…) thanks

hey, i’m new to this site, i got deferred from UCF also with similar stats as robby2306 friend, ACT 24, GPA 3.12/3.88, over 250+ community hours, Mu Alpha Theta, Girls Bowling team Captain, Social Editor of Yearbook, all Honor classes. I’m retaking the ACT beginning of February and resending my transcripts after the end of the 2nd grading period with all A’s & B’s
Can anyone tell me what are my chances? How long before they come back?
robby2306 - what did your friend do once she got deferred, and how long before the deferred status change to acceptance?

Anyone chance me? I’m a resident of Orlando, so UCF would be close by to home.SAT- 1870 M-700 CR-610 W-560
GPA 3.6/4.4
Expected ap credits- 7 ( apush, ap lang, ap chem, ap physics, ap calc, ap psych, ap us government and politics)
Intended major is mechanical engineering. I also am planning to retake my SAT

Your stats are the EXACT SAME as mine. i have a 3.55 UW and a 3.7 W a few clubs but community service hours. im out of state and my SAT is in the 1500’s but i do have mainly honors and 2 AP and everyone else admitted had GLOWING academics and im so worried about my chances at this point and this IS my #1 school.

I was deferred for Fall 2013
ACT: 25
GPA: 3.4

I am out of state and was told only 5% of out of state students are accepted. I kept in contact with the school and sent an email to UCF Trustee Ray Gilley. I explained my life history, major projects I have worked on, and that I was hoping to attend UCF. He replied and he forwarded my email to the Chief of Staff at UCF. Within ten minutes of that email being received, I was accepted. I would encourage people to reach out. Don’t beg or whine to get in, just explain who you are and why you want to attend.

I then received an out of state tuition waiver three weeks into the semester but do not know if it was connected to the email I sent.
