UCF Freshman Application Essays

<p>Can someone please tell me what the essay questions are on the Freshman Application for 2013 so my daugher can practice before she fills out the application? Thanks very much.</p>

How has your family history affected who you are?
Describe a bump in the road in your academic or personal life.
Why are you applying to ucf?
What personal characteristics or qualities do you have to would contribute to ucf?
The questions are on the website. I’m also applying for 2013. :)</p>

<p>If she hasn’t applied yet, she does not have to write on the questions. They tell you when you visit campus the questions are there in case you don’t have a topic of your choice. I didn’t write on the topic and got accepted for fall 2013!</p>

<p>Do you know if there are any requirements/ limits for their college essay? I’m just want to make sure because cutting down is always a pain!</p>

<p>Although optional, the essay assists the Admissions Committee in knowing you as an individual, independent of test scores and other objective data. We ask that you respond to two of the topics below. Your responses should be no longer than a total of 500 words or 7,000 characters.</p>

How has your family history, culture, or environment influenced who you are?
Why did you choose to apply to UCF?
What qualities or unique characteristics do you possess that will allow you to contribute to the UCF community?</p>
