So, Im stuck between these two schools. I want to know which one has a better psychology program, how is the college life, which one is more fun and successful? I just want to know the pros and cons for each and which one I should go with?Like right now in 2014 which school is the better choice? Thank You!

First, you need to visit both campuses, it will go a long way to helping you choose between the two.

FSU is the (slightly) more selective and a (much) higher ranked school. It also has a better faculty to student ratio and spends more $ per student on instructional/educational expenditures.

Even though FSU is higher ranked, a few majors at UCF are stronger (such as engineering), but I don’t know if that’s the case with psychology. Both schools have large psychology programs, so either may fit your needs.

It’s easier to earn a merit scholarships at UCF ($1K to $4K a year), so UCF could be a much more cost effective. If you’re majoring in psychology, you may be thinking of going to grad school (law, med, etc), if so, keeping your cost/debt low would be a wise choice.

Orlando vs. Tallahassee. Tallahassee feels more like a college town, while Orlando is far more developed. You may find that you have a strong preference for one over the other.

Good Luck!

I’m about 30 miles from Tallahassee, my teacher went there, my cousin is attending, and they all say its a wonderful school. Its very competive to get in. And they are VERY selective. If you’re looking for a laid-back town with a very good college, then FSU is the place! Good luck!
