I applied to UCF for the spring 2011 term as a transfer student in August of this year. As I had not completed the mandated 2 math courses and 2 English courses, an admission decision was deferred until I completed these requirements (completed fall 2010). I will be transferring with an A.S in Emergency Medical Services, though this is not relevant to my intended course of study.

Due to concerns about a late admission and potentially not being able to get into the classes I need, my academic adviser advised I sign up for classes at the community college for spring 2011 and fill out the reactivation form to postpone matriculation into the summer semester, if acceptance is offered.

I am applying with a 3.899 GPA (89 credits). Has anyone reactivated their application before, know if it is looked upon unfavorably, know if your chances of being accepted again are low, etc. ? How long did it take for you to get a second decision after submitting the reactivation form?

My final transcript was sent to UCF last Thursday, and I am hoping for an admissions decision before Dec. 22 at which point the university closes for holiday.

Thank you,
Immutef
