I’m going to be applying during the Fall to UCF, UF and USF and I’m wondering what my chances are to get accepted with an AA degree from a Florida community college.
My major is Elementary Education
Prerequisites GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 4.0
Graduating with an Honors certificate
I know that my grades are as good as it gets but I don’t have much else going for me like volunteer work or anything that makes me stand out other than Honors. Do you think my grades alone will get me accepted?
It is Florida law that a student transferring from a Florida community college is guaranteed acceptance to a state university. Since you have a high GPA and will have your AA, you should be set. UF might be a little more difficult if your major is a limited access program, but I don’t see why they wouldn’t take you! Good luck!
You should be fine for all. Make sure you’ve gotten all of the program prerequisites completed (it could vary by program/university).
UF has some possibly unique requirements with it’s ProTeach program.
