HI I’m a student at a community college in New York state and have been only going for a year, and I applied to University of South Florida for fall semester. In high school my grades all weren’t that great around 2.5 gpa but in college I have been working my butt off and revieved 3.8 gpa for fall semester. I am hoping to get acceped to University of South Florida, do you guys think ill be able to get accepted? This school is my dream school and am hoping for an acceptance letter

A 3.8 is good, but if you don’t have an associates of arts (AA) degree, they are probably going to look at your SAT and high school GPA. You might try calling admissions and asking if completing an AA from out-of-state will help you.

As an alternative, you can transfer to a community college that is located near USF and complete an AA from a Florida CC. If you have a Florida-based AA, it is MUCH easier to get into a Florida public school. It’s also common for people go to Sante Fe or Tallahassee Community College and then transfer to UF or FSU, respectively.
