Well, why do you think you got a LL and early admission, assuming UofC was not wowed by your spelling skills? 
@Sam-I-Am This person clearly isn’t serious. It’s also not logical for UChi for be releasing LL at this time so close to the regular admissions date anyway. Don’t stress yourself out about some person on an online forum and go enjoy some cat videos instead!
Has anyone actually confirmed when the regular decision date is?
they should announce on twitter sometime this week when decisions come out, which will likely be next week

Since decisions are so close I think it’s important to address the fact that one rejection does not determine your worth!! I’m sure all of you are very very VERY capable of so many things and are more than capable of getting into UChicago. No matter what happens, one closed door means another one has opened. Be proud that you made it so far and graduation is sooo close!! Three cheers for Class of 2017!! Good luck to all!!
I wrote my essay as a parody of the American psycho morning routine (perfect highschool student edition) since it’s my favorite movie/book and idk what the heck I was thinking!!! Even U Chicago probably will think that’s TOO crazy of a prompt.
I’m slightly concerned, everyone seems to be saying that they only see the financial aid checklist, but my portal hasn’t changed… I still see the “Forms” section as well as the box where I can submit extra materials + financial aid checklist. Am I the only one? (It’s been a while since I’ve checked my portal but I think that’s how it’s always been…)

Don’t read much into how something shows up (or has been removed) on someone’s portal. Anecdotal evidence demonstrates that this isn’t a very accurate method of predicting an outcome. Sure - they might be clearing out all the accepteds first. Or the rejecteds. Or they are clearing it out by admissions counselor, or by region . . . or maybe the program is just clearing it out randomly. IOW, no one really knows.
@yuccatree I still have those boxes too…how do you know some people only have the financial aid checklist?
@JBStillFlying Ah I see, that makes sense. It’s nice to know that it probably doesn’t mean anything, or at least that there’s nothing to know from having the intact portal. I didn’t know that it is more of an individual basis rather than all at once.
@GoFalcons99 On page 24 there’s a few people that mention only seeing the financial aid checklist. It appears that gradually all applicants lose this, we just haven’t yet.
I had mentioned earlier how I had no application checklist. I still have financial aid and “upload materials” the only thing missing is the application checklist but other than that everything is the same

I talked to my counselor today and he told me that he had talked to uchicago admissions and they said we will be notified on monday 3/13 that decisions will come out on friday 3/17. things don’t always go accordingly to plan so obviously that could change but I feel like that’s how its going to play out.
Yeah I called the admissions office and they told me 3/17 is the date they’re talking about
