Alright all. Just get off this forum, assume you’re rejected at this point, considering that poster’s comment, and move to your other waitlists or wherever you have committed. If by chance you’re one of the few lucky just waiting to be rolled out, then great. Otherwise, we’re all rejects at this point. We didn’t survive the purge. We just got prolonged torture. It’ll probably be in two weeks you get your death email.
I’m so bad at waiting. At this point I wish they’d just tell me I didn’t make it so I could maybe cry but then move on
So have all of you committed?
Should I even write a LOCI? Or is it a lost cause?
Literally what I’ve been saying…
Good luck to all of you! You’ll do great wherever you end up.
Ggwp boys and girls
@Legends lol that’s the third time, isn’t it?
This was posted on the “Ask an Admissions Counselor thread” today:
@eviola17 We have been able to admit a very small number of students from the waitlist, but are waiting on May 1 before we can start to look at the waitlist more fully. All students will hear back with a final decision around the middle of May.
My RC sent me following after I wrote my LOCI few days ago.
Thank you for your thoughtful message in response to your admissions decision. I am glad to hear that the University of Chicago remains a top choice, and I appreciate the update. I have added your note to your file for our consideration. If you need anything else or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. Have a wonderful week!
She didn’t specify any date or week for their decisions, but I am bit nervous… Did anyone receive these kind of reply??
@kimchimaster Got almost the same reply when I sent my LOCI in, and I sent mine in the day I got waitlisted
I sent an update and all I got is a thank you.
I get that they are super busy but mine didn’t specify a date either.
@kimchimaster
Guys… you’ve done all that you could. Now it’s out of your hands. Constantly bombarding them with materials is not going to do much, other than annoy them. They’re human beings too and despite the importance of your waitlisted decision they also have to run the university…
Lol that’s probably going to be my last post until we all get our decisions.
@Legends Probably not. This post by definition invalidates your statement, but I think people will just keep screeching until they’re finally told there’s no room for them in the class of 2022.
Okay then this is my final post. Better?
Where did you guys finally commit to? I bet they are all amazing places!!!
@dreamcatcher3 UVA … did your student commit to Colby?
Committed to UMich last night
@dreamcatcher3 Committed to Vanderbilt two days ago. Had a rough time deciding between Vandy and UVA Echols Program.
