I seriously doubt decisions have already been made. I mean, application materials were really due on Nov 24, so they probably started going over applications rigorously then.
There’s no way they didn’t start earlier than Nov 24. Actually I have no idea what I’m talking about, tbh. I don’t really know how admissions committees work. Anyone want to explain?
I guess they started applications that already had all of the materials, because I submitted all of my stuff before November 1st. It would have been impossible if they started everything on the 24th, so that’s what I’m assuming.
Yeah, I think so too. But also, it can’t be like a first come first serve thing, or that wouldn’t be fair. Like they can’t just admit the first 1000 or whatever apps they read without reading the others, whose materials were still coming in. So I dunno
maybe they just did the ones where all materials were submitted or put others on hold

Hey! Does anyone know where admission decisions will be posted? I have been so nervous recently, spastically checking the U Chicago account to see a decision somewhere. I wasn’t able to find any specific place, so just wondering if anyone knows!
Who is excited? Who is nervous? What other schools are you all looking at?
I’ve had a huge weight in my stomach recently with reality setting in and all that, in less than probably a week, I will know where I will (or won’t!) be going to school.

I’m excited. Nervous, too. I keep looking at the UChicago online bookstore at all of their sweatshirts and imagining which one I would buy if I get in. (Yes, I know this is extremely unhealthy.)
I’ve been trying to pour all of my energy into my ECs (swimming, writing, and StuCo), but I still catch myself thinking about Chicago a lot. At this point, I care more about knowing my admissions decision than my admissions decision itself.
Same here! I just want to get it over with! Like ripping the bandaid off.

lol yeah I got a nice sweatshirt when I went up for open house but with it being right before Christmas I told my parents if I get in I just want a bunch of Uchicago stuff
@hope1938 Yeah I meant *schools not scholarships but thats cool. I looked at UVA, I fell in love when I visited a few years back but its expensive out of state. None of the schools in SC have pub pol so I’m not even applying in state. Most of VA schools do have pubpol which is nice being close to DC
