Nothing. That is exactly what people on Reddit are noticing. If you were deferred, you don’t have the option to withdraw. Probably has something to do with how they classify applications or something.
I think the only thing that might be significant is if someone who is RD does not have that option to withdraw or someone who is deferred does have the option to withdraw.
We know for sure some deferred are getting in and some RD are getting in. So as long as everyone has the same for their decision type, it means absolutely nothing.
To be honest, I am not sure if it was ever there for deferred. But with a deferred acceptance rate of .5% I am not expecting to win the lottery today. My DD is a ball of nerves. In a way it will be a relief to get it over with one way or another. Unfortunately this is her dream school and if she got it, we will commit tomorrow.
Anyone know if there will be a little notification of a status update on the portal that we will have to click or the decision will literally say accepted or declined when we log in?
