Basically I did something sort of similar but more general where I said odd numbers are like the outliers of society that people don’t really think about but they’re the people that create progress.
I’m really nervous for it though- what did you say for the other two essays? </p>
<p>Ah wow the 12th and the 18th that’s less than a week before. It doesn’t really matter when they announce when they’re going to announce decisions, but I’m just so excited for them to say anything at all.</p>
<p>I did the ‘untranslatable words’ prompt. When I read them all the first time, I absolutely hated that one, but in the end I think I got a better essay out of that one than I could have out of the others. I tried writing my own prompt but it felt wrong. I kept thinking that they’d read it and think ‘this isn’t a creative prompt, it’s just a question designed to fit whatever essay she wrote. it might as well be a part of the essay’ and I couldn’t go through with it.</p>

<p>Yesterday I went to NYC. You know, to relax and enjoy the day. It was fun!..Then I saw someone wearing a UChicago sweatshirt …I had an anxiety attack. Yeah. </p>

<p>@Awflapjackz Yeah, the man wearing it looked like he was in his 60’s, so I’m guessing he was either an alumni or family member of a student. </p>

<p>@alleycat2 i have two hoodies and a couple of t-shirts from when i’ve been there, and i wear them… i feel like i’m jinxing my admissions chances by doing that hahaha</p>

<p>Yeah… I probably won’t wear it on decision day because that would be so depressing if I got rejected or deferred =(( . But if a miracle happens and I do get accepted, then I’m going to throw my sweatshirt on and dance around my room </p>
