UChicago EA Applicants 2018

A place for all us UChicago hopefuls to wait for decisions

hi  was waiting for someone to make a thread

The wait is slowly starting to kill me…

Good luck guys! Don’t stress about it too much- you’ve done everything you need to, try and relax, take your mind off of it. Enjoy your senior year :P

Does anyone know if for interviews, we will be contacted through email or the UChicago website? If no one in the area is available to interview, will they let us know?

hi mermaidgirl, i think you have to open a uchicago account and apply for interviews there.
ive just done mine, good luck to yours!

My D is waiting, too. Will a local alumni interview increase a chance to be accepted ? I doubt it but not sure.

Dad: Accepted son did not have an interview last year. One of the few schools he did not interview with.

Having said that, I suspect a good to great interview could help in the sense that it further confirms great essays and recommendations. I don’t think it can help the objective stuff such as grades and test scores, obviously.

Best of luck to your daughter!

The alum doing my interview just called yesterday.

Good luck! I have mine today

I hope they call me!

The wait is unbearable? Which house are planning on applying to?

I can’t decide between Burton Judson and Snitchcock, you?

I am going for Phoenix, I really want to live in I-house. They have a gym and their own fridge. Yay

Any word on # of total applicants and projected acceptance rate for EA? I know that the number of applicants has skyrocketed over the past several years.

I’ll go for any house that’s wheelchair accessible ;p

Nope, as long as I get in, I do not care.
Ironchariot are you really in a wheel chair? Or are you just kidding

really in a wheelchair  I habe cerebral palsy.

Oh most house have an elevator so don’t worry about that part. I am kind of scared about my sat scores? What were yours

ACT 34. I wouldn’t worry too much about scores because Uchicago looks at other factors like recs, rigor, ec’s just as much.
