<p>Hi so I applied for UChicago EA and I was wondering if someone could tell me my odds? </p>

<p>ACT Composite: 24 (I know it's extremely low for this institution)
GPA: 4.5217 (unweighted)
3.9565 (weighted)
Rank: 3/261
Courses this year: leadership, AP bio, AP lit and comp, AP gov
(11 honors/AP courses throughout High School)
Attend only high school in a small town in NV
Essays: very strong
teacher recs: very good
Counselor rec: very good
College interview for UC: went well
I am also Hispanic, born in Guatemala</p>

<p>ECs:
Student body president
NHS VP
Student Council class treasurer (9,10)
Student body treasurer (11)
Yearbook staff member (10,11,12)
Volunteer at local NV outreach training organization
Selected as alternate candidate for UN youth pilgrimage (state wide)
Intern at local electric company
Worked as a cashier at town pool</p>

<p>honestly I think the test scores make it so you have a pretty weak chance of getting in. Nevertheless, good luck. </p>

<p>I forgot to add I’m also a legacy, my sister just graduated last year from UC</p>

<p>everything helps, incl. legacy status (did your sis do well?) Cross your fingers. Yes, scores are quite low for U of C, but other things will help.</p>
