Just a little curious as to how my prospects look in terms of good internships and a good job after graduation (most likely I-Banking, but not 100% sure, still looking at later going in M&A or consulting). I'm asking this because I don't hear about Chicago being too heavily recruited, yet its Econ program is (to put it mildly) pretty good. I know it's not a big "networking" school, but do kids coming out of the Ivies really have a huge advantage over me?

Chicago is FINE! Just get above a 3.5 and you are golden as long as you don't mess up the interview.

Getting a 3.5 at Chicago is not something to slight with a "just get above." It's no small feat.

Sorry, but geting a high GPA at a decent school, which includes good state schools, is what is required of IB jobs.Jobs that pay $100,000 to start are hard to get. Thus, you need a top notch GPA.

Still, 3.5 at Chicago is quite different than a 3.5 elsewhere. It's probably about as hard as Pton I'd guess.

Can anyone tell me how the alumni network is by any chance?
