Hey, I recently got admitted to the class of 2023 and I’m wondering about some recommended classes and professors. I’m going to be studying English Language and Literature, so department specific stuff is great too. I’ve heard great things about The Little Red Schoolhouse and Dinosaur Science, but does anyone know anything less popular, but also a great experience/fun? Thank you!
By this time next summer you will be choosing several core sequences for your first year. Hum is required, and many who are not planning a STEM major will take Sosc. or Civ. at the same time to get another writing-intensive sequence of the way. You’ll probably also choose a Core math and either a foreign lang. or Core science.
The 2019/20 catalog will get updated by next spring but you can at least begin to familiarize yourself with what is required or even pick out a few sequences that appear especially interesting. There may well be additional choices next year, too.

The catalog will also describe your prospective major and the courses offered in ELL. Many are cross registered with other departments so should prove very enriching.
Enjoy!
Thank you so much!
