@thebingbong Our grades freeze after the 5th 6 week grading period which is in 2nd semester, but most colleges see 1st semester ranks/grades so I’m not incredibly worried about the rank itself.

@pwil7070 It might be different for international students, since I submitted the ISFAA and not the FAFSA, and employment verificastion and stuff like that as opposed to tax returns
@fizzy110 I really think more schools need to go towards not ranking.
Did anyone include anything in the portfolio, btw?
I just realised that my school officially doesn’t rank to schools outside of Texas. So as far as UChicago is concerned, my school doesn’t rank. Also I remember them saying they don’t look at rank.
@ANerdFighter I used the portfolio for everything honestly- financial aid forms, research papers, writing samples, extra recs. Did anyone actually send their letter of continued interest to the Dean, or just your regional officer?
@ANerdfighter I submitted a journalistic sample from my main EC.
@thebingbong Where in Texas do you go to school? I really wish that was the case for my high school!
@ANerdfighter I didn’t because I thought that was only for art supplements and stuff. I don’t play an instrument or draw or anything like that, so I didn’t put in anything.
@leannatorres I sent it to my regional officer, back in early January. But I also sent them an email a week ago after I became a prixewinner in a regional competition. I just hope that still mattered, even at such a late stage

@thebingbong if they dnt look at ranks, how do they know what kind of grades that school normally gives!
@ANerdfighter Alright same, I’ve been a little worried that I didn’t send to the Dean, but I’ll calm down about that particular aspect now.
@leannatorres Coppell. They only rank the top ten percent for the purpose of the automatic admission schools in Texas. Outside of it they don’t rank. On my transcript it says Coppell ISD does not rank.
@anerdfighter I am going to stop looking at my Uchicago account, teach me to look for mysterious spaces
@imrakibul96 The school counsellor has to submit a sheet with information such as average GPA and types of classes offered.
@leannatorres That’s really good, I really wish I was in Coppell.
