@Marisa58 thanks, I would like to think this is a reflection on me but the truth is admissions decisions are so so so arbitrary. Everyone from my school thought I’d get into princeton early and I was brokenhearted when I didn’t. I wish you all the success in the world and know you will do fabulous things!!

Congrats to all the accepts. To the waitlists, if you hang in there make sure you flood them with everything that you do. Don’t let them go a week without hearing from you. I have made my decision, it was new york or lake forest (30 miles north of chicago). I think Lake Forest, they really want me with 34,000 a year in scholarships. Good Luck

PWIL7070, I’ve heard Lake Forest is a great school.
Was anyone else certain they’d be rejected the whole way through? I’ve already had 2 rejections not including UChicago’s, and one deferral (and an acceptance to my safety), so I was expecting it–especially since UChicago is so selective and prefers to admit children who are in the top 10% of their high school classes. Nonetheless, I wish I had been rejected back in December when I was deferred early action, instead of waiting all of this time and whatnot.
