So . . . I've been admitted to uchicago, carnegie mellon, and hopkins and am waitlisted at princeton and columbia. Of the three schools that are for sure, I'm really torn over which is my best option. I'm interested in computer science and computer engineering. Opinions?

We (UChicago) don’t have engineering, and our comp. sci. department is pretty small (although the people I know in it seem happy enough). If you’re set on CS and computer engineering, then that might be a deal-breaker.

Carnegie Mellon is the best in the country for Computer Science. Our department at JHU from what I hear is quite specialized though so it depends on what you want to work on.
