<p>i have a classmate who just got admitted into ucla bio major ( you can guess his GPA )… He told me he hasn’t heard from uci or ucsd. I think irvine is doing something unlike other years, which were selecting from high to low gpa…</p>
<p>Judging by all the threads about ucsd and Uci I think tons of ppl haven’t heard back from these two schools yet which may just be a relief for those of us who think it’s rejection! I think this may have something to do with the fact that both schools adopted a holistic review of applications this year</p>
<p>^UCSD is doing the same picking students with higher GPAs
even if you had a low GPA you’d still be admitted to the school you’d either get placed in your alternate non-impacted major or would just have to pick a different major as undeclared.</p>
<p>And I think they’re just behind, and you should all stop freaking out!</p>
<p>Seriously, the ONLY thing we’ve heard from the admissions office lately is that they ARE backlogged, there are tons of applications yet to go through and that there are still acceptances to come. So stop speculating that you’re rejected; the only thing that accomplishes is crushing the hopes of all of the other applicants who have yet to hear. And there are a LOT of us-- I seriously doubt that we’re all rejected.</p>
