UCI - Anyone get a Full Ride?

Anyone get a full ride to UCI, as in all $27k+ in grants or scholarships?

did you? were you trying? any insight possibly why you didn’t if you were trying to?

No, but I was hoping. I got the Regents scholarship but it didn’t pay for everything as it did the year before (only got $21k). I’m wondering if anyone got any extra scholarships that paid for more than the normal financial aid (pell/seog grants, etc.)

But at UCB I got a full ride for $32k. However, it sucks because I wanted the full ride at UCI.

well, i consider the 20k I got from UCI a full ride. Housing doesn’t really cost 11k or whatever if ur smart. i calculated that I will be able to pay for tuition, housing, and still have financial money to spare, which will probably go towards books + food

I was wondering, did you have to fill out applications for your full ride to Berkeley? Was it in the form of FA or scholarships? I didn’t get money from schools so I want to gain insight to how the whole thing works.

■■■■■ you chose irvine over berkeley with a full ride to berkeley? confusing…

It’s only confusing to one-track minds who don’t know someone’s priorities when choosing a school…

@smiley

No, I didn’t fill out any additional forms. I received a pell grant, seog grant, parent scholarship, and an undergraduate scholarship at UCB.

@baby… depending on how the next few days go… I might decline my admission to Cal too. Do you mind if I ask what your reasoning is? I’m trying to justify why this could be a good idea for me :/

hmmmm. priorities? what comes before school…when applying to UC’s?

How about family for example? I know many fellow CCC friends that hopes for UCLA, UCI, CSULB, etc. over Cal, Davis, SC, etc because they have a family to take care of. I know UCLA or UCI is much more important to me over UCB because I want to stay in LA to look after my father.

well yes those situations are of course obvious reasons, but ■■■■■ boyfriend or girlfriend reasons is blahhh, or some sort of sentimental reasons.

Part of my reason for not wanting to go to norcal is because I absolutely HATE cold weather. haha that sounds so ridiculous but it has the potential to completely sway my decision.

■■■■■. yooo! just go to cal. get a great education, you deserve it and worked hard.
