<p>Seems like on Monday-Tuesday a decent amount of people who had criminology law got in</p>
<p>For bio many got in during feb 28 and some last friday
I only know one of my friend who got into chemical engineering so idk about that
1 for electric engineering,
1 for business admin.</p>
<p>Very few English majors that I know got in.</p>
<p>Forgot to mention, a few drama major got accepted as well</p>
<p>Few pharmaceutical science got in.</p>
<p>Well yeah, it’s just what I have seen last few days or perhaps u can call it “research”</p>
<p>Idk if uci really send their decision by majors but it somewhat seems like they do. Eh.</p>
<p>the twitter account said that they received 66,000 (similarity to davis’s 60,500 applicants) Davis only accepted 5,100 people so I’m guessing uci will admit around 6,000 kids (over estimate) that is an acceptance rate of 9%. last year they accepted 41% of applicants however I dont think they have room for 27,000 freshman students.</p>
<p>Not to be a debbie downer but i’ve come to the conclusion that majority of the rest of applications are rejected</p>
<p>Well, a lot of the people who are accepted at UCI probably are accepted to other colleges too, so they probably accept and wait list more people to compensate for that. Just my two cents though :P</p>
<p>Every minute seems like eternity in uc irvine land</p>

66,000-6,000=60,000 (estimate)
So far it seems like acceptance are coming out especially for oos. Uci probably sent 3,500+ acceptance already. Rest are REJECTIONS!!! Don’t wanna believe it but it’s true

<p>hmm i think there’s a bit of confusion…for example if uci had 66,000 applicants and they’re admit rate is about 41%, then they’ll admit ~27,000 but will only have space to enroll a bit over 5000. They always accept more than they have space for since not everyone that is admitted will actually enroll at their school.</p>
<p>Guys… Here is how it works:
Last year they had about 50k applicants with a 47% acceptance rate. You can do the math, that is well over 6,000. (That’s is 23,500 acceptances for the lazy). Not nearly everyone who gets in will go there, that is why they admit so many students. For top schools, like Harvard, UCLA, a significant higher percentage of students will attend if they are admitted, so they cannot accept as many students.</p>
<p>lol Calm down guys they’re just lagging their decisions. All we can do is wait,don’t start bringing in 9% acceptance rate and stuff, it will make you nervous and it is not true,universities will admit more than they can enroll because a lot of people will end up attending other universities anyways. Im sure some big batches will come out soon(hopefully).lol</p>
