guys positive thoughts and positive vibes!

I got a supplemental questionnaire in January but I didn’t see it until after the deadline… Is this a bad sign for me? I come from a family with drug addict parents, a sister and her boyfriend on drugs in the house but i still maintained a 3.7 gpa and become the CEO of my schools robotics team with a ton of volunteer work with children in STEM programs… I’m really worried. If I get rejected from UCI, I’m attending CSU LB… i got rejected from UCD and UCSB…

Over Twitter I asked if the accept rate will be similar to last year (41%). The response was “The admit rate can be a little less than last year due to the increase in applications.”

UCLA (waiting)

UCI (accepted into honors program)

UCSB (accepted into honors program)

UCSD (accepted)

UCR (accepted, Regents Scholar)

CSULB (accepted)

Can somebody that got accepted post a pic of what the portal or message looks like?

@ralphyboy
U can go on Instagram search #uci and there should be ton of acceptance if u scroll down a few times or if u go on the twitter page on uci admission there’s also a sample photo of it.

@thehomiealan
@ninaxnina

Thanks guys, guess we have to look out for that admittance banner then :-SS

UCI is not going to admit only 9%. That’s equivalent to Brown’s acceptance rate.

this is getting really annoying.
didn’t uci say they were going to release some 2 days ago?
if they’re gong to release all rejections last…then thats really cruel

I wonder whats Yale and Harvard acceptance rate is. 1%? LOL jk

@ninaxnina around 6%

Well at least we have a better chance of getting into irvine than all the other top elite schools!
Yay! #:-S

I know how late this is and based on the fact that I haven’t heard back yet, my chances are slim, but can someone chance me please?

Decent Essays i think

no special cases, except maybe that I’m not a citizen, the first generation in this country, first genreration US college student (dad did some college in india)

I would really appreciate honest feedback

[[Got into UCR with chancellors, declined from UCSD and UCD, and got into SB for Physics, not my intended major of Aerospace Engineering]]

edit: intended major of mechanical at SB, not Aerospace like the other UC’s I applied to

Is Aerospace Engineering highly impacted at Irvine? That might be a big reason I dont look so hot

Still waiting

@Aggro4u2c I think you’ll get in.

I applied to CSUF, UCI, Cal poly Pom. , USC and UCLA.

Only got acceptance from CSUF ( Honors )

Nothing from other colleges yet.

At this point, I’ve kind of given hope on getting accepted to any more colleges. My SAT score is 2130 but my UC GPA is only 3.3. Accepted to CSULB, CSUF, and UCR, denied from UCSD, UCD, and UCSB. Pretty good extra-curriculars, co-president of Academic Decathlon, ASB, over 100 volunteer hours, internships with newspapers/TV stations etc. (my major is broadcast journalism). My biggest regret is applying to a bunch of UCs that didn’t even have my major because my parents want me to stay in-state. Applied to UCI for Film and Media studies, anybody know anyone who got accepted for that major yet? And realistically, should I give up hope on getting into USC?

the only thing dragging you down is GPA that is really low, SAT is a monster though, but honestly GPA>SAT you have a chance at UCI, USC I dont think so
