No decision yet

nothing for me just yet either :(

I hope UCI will not stagger releasing decisions like CalPoly SLO did and releasing rejections at the very end. It’s not fair to the applicants having false hope.

Anyone heard for criminology major yet?

I’m in, but upset I didn’t get into the CHP… 3.95 UW, 2210 SAT, 33 ACT. It’s very reassuring to have Irvine as a safety though!

any idea if all day today they will be updating decisions? what % already informed?

My D didn’t get CHP either (but she’s in as well, probably will not attend). Her stat: 4.0 UW, 4.31 W Capped, 4.89 W Uncapped, 2200 SAT 34 ACT.

@menacing @2018dad
Yes, CHP and Regents were based on some “holistic” parameters that are difficult to rationalize - makes me wonder if “safety” candidates were weeded out. My kids case stunned me while attempting to rationalize.

@menacing @2018dad, what majors did your children apply for at UCI?

My D applied as Computer Science major. It could be very well that CS is competitive at UCI so she didn’t get CHP. She’s a UCLA Regents invitee though.

@menacing But it’s a safety for you … So I guess I’m saying you shouldn’t be too upset. Those are good stats.
