<p>Hi, guys! The decision depends on UC admission officer. The scores, ECs…are not the standard. We all don’t know the standard. I just got rejected by all UC campus I’ve applied, SD, SB, SC, Irvine and Davis. I thought I could get accepted by two or three of them (especially SC). But…it’s cruel. So I have to go to Drexel University or RIT. BTW, I’m an IB student from China. Maybe California is not fit to me. But I will not give up. There are different ways to achieve the dream. You guys and I should be stronger! Because we are still young. We can face more failure! Good luck, everyone! 加油！</p>

<p>Is anyone else frantically refreshing the portal as if it’s going to change within 2 seconds of the last refresh?</p>
<p>@ninaxnina I would also like to see what a rejected portal looks like. Waitlist as well, if possible. I’m pretty sure for rejections there’s just a short piece of text that says something along the lines of, “Thank you for applying to UC Irvine, however we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to our campus at this time,” that either shows up in the message center or replaces the “We have received your freshman application” under the Application Summary heading. I could be wrong, though.</p>

<p>Im getting the feeling that GPA weighs more than sat… Im seeing all my friends get in with 4.0-4.1s and 1600s and here im seeing people get rejected with 3.8s and 2100s</p>
<p>Also, it would be nice if you guys would please let us know if you received an email earlier like at 3 AM in the morning or you just randomly check and saw your decision.</p>

<p>That’s what I’ve seen as well, @uvminhcire. My friend with a 4.2 GPA and a 1600 SAT with mediocre personal statements and very few (if any) academic ECs was accepted as a Bio Sci major, so I’m very surprised to see high 3.#s getting rejected even though they have much better ECs and SATs. It’s a shame, to be honest. These people seem more than qualified for a mid-tier UC like UCI, so it’s unfortunate to see them all rejected. </p>
<p>it does @uvminhcire. check the irvine admit class 2013 stats on the uc admissions thing. over 90% of people with a 4.0 gpa or above get into uci.</p>
<p>if your below that? drops to around 45% if i remember correctly. sucks knowing that one or two classes here and there could’ve been the needed push.</p>
<p>i was rejected today… it’s been a great journey with you guys on this thread 
all of you are the first people i’m telling. after finding out my decision from uci, i’ve decided that i’m 100% committed to uc davis! it kind of sucks because i’m from arcadia (socal) and moving to davis is going to be huge deal for me, but maybe i was just meant to go there haha
as all admission decisions come to a close, i hope everyone’s college plans fall in to place- no matter where you end up. <3</p>
