UCI Criminology chances?

Hey everybody. First time poster =).

I was curious about my chances of getting into UCI Criminology because I've been quite nervous lately in my major choice. This is my 3rd semester at Moorpark College, and I've completed 26 transferable units (IGETC). My overall GPA sits at a 3.27 ( I keep getting B's, lol), and I was wondering if it was good enough to get into UCI. I'm taking 13.5 transfer credits (18.5 total) this semester, and I'm going to bang out 21.5 credits in the spring. Every class I will be taking in the spring comes directly off of the assist website, and will complete my pre-reqs for Criminology. I would go for the TAG agreement, but I don't have enough credits to apply (30), and I haven't taken my math class yet (stats).

The reason I was wondering is because if my chances of getting into UCI are low, I will most likely change my major. UCI is the only UC school -to my knowledge- that offers criminology, and sticking with it would mean attending a CS most likely. I don't have anything against CSU's, I'm just set on trying to get into a UC. I'm not really concerned about my undergraduate degree since I'm dead-set on attending law-school after my 4 years, but I really want to get into a UC first.

Hopefully you guys will respond!

Thanks for reading =-)

Anyone ?

=(

What I've learned from my transfer experience:

-Have at least 60 UC transferable units before transfering (junior standing)
-If they recommend IGETC for your major, for the love of god do it.
-If the major isn't impacted you'll get in with a 3.0+
-If it is impacted, you'll want at least a 3.5+ (probably higher)
-Finish as many pre-reqs before transfering (preferably all)[VERY IMPORTANT]

Follow all these and you're pretty much in at every UC but UCLA and Berk. Although people getting into UCLA with < 3.0 is not unheard of.

bump. thanks for the info. anybody else?

You might get in but really depends how many people apply for Criminology when you do. Like anchor said it really depends if your have IGETC and pre-reps done by spring. Also I also I am not sure are evaluator will see you doing 21.5 units in a semester when you normally do 9. Why are taking non-transferable units this semester?
