UCI exercise sciences

Hello everybody!

So I'm a community college student applying this fall. I was just looking around online when I noticed that UCI had added a new major (exercise sciences) which excited me immensely as I would love to apply as an ES major. They have a star on the listing though so I called admissions to see what it was about. Apparently you cannot be enrolled with that major.. you have to apply as a biological sciences major and then at the start of your third year, you are enrolled as a exercise sciences major. That doesn't really apply to me as I am going to apply as a third year from community college this fall. I mentioned this to the kind lady at admissions and she told me that she is not sure because it is a new major and that they are still working out the kinks.. Does anybody know what this means for me? What will most likely be the case or what will probably happen for transfer students?

Would appreciate any input at all!
