Does anyone know if UCI requires a grade of B or higher for calculus classes for business Econ majors? I got an A in calc 1, but it is looking like I will get a C in calc 2. Does this mean that I will not be admitted to UCI if it is a requirement to get a B or higher in calculus?
@hillarydufflebag

Essays:
Spent all summer and fall working on these essays. I think they are quite strong. Most of them are of my hardship of switching from music to a new career path in statistics and data science.
@melmoney1 I asked the same thing in another thread. It seems that you are correct in that they may not accept you for that major. I can imagine that they’d look beyond one C if your overall application is great and they feel that they need you in their campus.
Hi, I’m actually here because I have a very urgent question!! I submitted my TAG for UCI. I made a huge mistake and did not include a grade from a class I took in high school at cc. I got a C and since its semester it dropped my GPA from a 3.55 to a 3.34. I did not submit it because I forgot about it and it’s from high school so I thought it wouldn’t matter but I guess it does. Is anyone else in the same situation? Is it possible to omit that grade? ):
Can someone please chance me as an intercampus transfer to UCI??

@redlantern222 You should update your tag or contact the admissions office. To leave out a grade from your record is considered dishonest so make sure that class is inputted unless you have a way to waive it (which I don’t think you can but double check).

Does anyone know if I can switch my major with my alt. major right now? I applied as “pharmaceutical science” as ma major and “chemistry” as my alternate major but found out that pharmaceutical science major requires biology courses in which I haven’t taken any yet. Or if I get rejected by my first major would they allow me in for my alternate major provided that I have 4.0 GPA with only one more course to finish for my alt. major (which is chemistry). My counselor mistakenly told me to apply as pharmaceutical science without fully reviewing my transcript. Am I screwed?
@vousmeuerz I believe you can’t make any changes to your major or alternate major once you have submitted the application. You might want to email admissions for that.
On another note, has anyone here received an email from UCI saying they have received your application?
