Hello people! I’ve been reading this forum for the past few days and its reassuring to know that there are some people like me who are still waiting for their admission decision!
I tagged to UCI’s comp sci program. I meet all the requirements (I just need to get a B in this class I’m taking right now). I’m just nervous because I haven’t gotten anything yet. I’m checking like every couple of hours hahaha. Prayers up for everyone! Zot zottttttt
Got in on April 2nd for CS as a TAG W/ 3.7 gpa, PTK, and President’s Honor Roll. Just thought I’d post to give people an idea. Also have 95 units ?. For the guy before, I had a W on mine for Calc III but retook it so it looks like that didn’t affect it.
@rsandan I think that there are still a lot of CS TAG applicants (including me) are still waiting. Many of us have decent GPAs and all requirements done, but I think the only thing we could do right now is to wait…
I’m not necessarily CS but I’m public health also TAG and I’m still waiting. I only saw two public healths get in according to this form. Also yeah it’s comforting to know others are in the similar situation kinda gives me hope that my tag isn’t in jeopardy

They’re taking so long with general applicants, the stress is brutal. I was so overwhelmed now I’m just over it. I feel a little better knowing that most general haven’t heard back, but I’m losing hope. I already feel the rejection coming, especially because I could have tagged but I had no idea that existed 
Anyway to RSVP to the Admitted TAG Student Session at Celebrate UCI on April 20th? I had no idea there was a deadline to rsvp 
Will UCI even release decisions for regular applicants before Berkeley? There’s just 5 days left for them to post. It would be good if UCI posts their decisions any day this week to be honest.
@anenglishmajor i totally understand. My community college didnt mention tag until after the deadline. Its so stressful lately and im just glad im not alone in this. All we gotta do at this point is be positive ??
It’s pretty safe to say if for bus admin majors that we were rejected if we didn’t get the acceptance yet. The Paul Merage School of Business at UCI is non tag inclusive. Expecting rejection. 2nd wave came out already and although not that many ppl got it on this forum realize not everyone decides to post doesn’t count for the rest of the people who applied and got in. The person who got in a day ago was at the top of the applicant pool… I feel like what’s next is rejection…
@haasbear There are still many well-qualified applicants who did not hear back. The person who got in the other day was the exception not the rule. Yah, not everyone would post, but the expected trend is that people do. And only one person did so IDK man. AND that person got Regents/ Honors.
Tbh even though i’m so scared i’ve got rejected despite being TAG lol, I think there’s still hope. A friend of mine didn’t TAG last year cause she didn’t reach the GPA requirement. In the past, she actually was on academic probation and she still got in and for chemistry. The STEM majors idk from my point of view are really competitive no matter what UC. In addition, she heard April 19th while everyone else had already gotten their acceptances. (As i recall, according to last yr’s forum, acceptances were going out really early compared to the past). So I totally get the panic, but I feel like next week could be the week for us.
@jedenic I’m taking about bus admin. NOT other majors. Doesn’t really matter if the person got honors/regents. You get regents if you’re gpa is good. You get in if you stand out and are at the top. There’s only so very few spots for this major. It’s already this late into the process so I’m expecting rejection just like the freshmen who were rejected for this major. The ones who were rejected heard back really late. It sucks and I wish it were different.
I don’t think non-TAGs/general applicants have heard back though? So I don’t think many or any business majors even got accepted yet @haasbear
@90smix 4 business majors were accepted in this thread btw… One was accepted yesterday and was not part of the first wave and they barely accept a hundredish.The other 90ish might not even have a college confidential account and were already accepted…

Yeah I agree with @90smix though I mean @haasbear I think you should be realistic but at the same time according to this forum, it doesn’t seem like a lot of regular applicants have gotten their decision. I know the wait sucks but I mean April isn’t done yet
Bus admin does not allow tag so it doesn’t really matter if no non tags have gotten in Bc the major doesn’t even take the agreement. All based on merit, etc. I am being realistic and preparing myself for the worst
What really confuses me is that people are saying there was “record breaking” applicants for transfers this year but based on statistics last year there was around 21,000 and this year there was only 19,000.
