UCI FEMBA vs USC vs UCLA Program Review

Hello All, I am new to this forum, there are some old threads on the same topic, but as things do change so quickly these days wondering if someone could give a insight how things are in 2015.

Please see my questions below, i would appreciate any help.

I have shortlisted USC and UCI both are still accepting applications for FALL 2015.
Fee wise both are almost equal, UCI is close to 100K, and USC is also in same range.
Location of UCI is perfect its only 15 minute drive from my house.
USC would be a long commute.

What i have heard, USC is much better than UCI in terms of alumni network and reputation.

Here is what i want to get out of my MBA.

Background: I am working in a good technology company and have 8-10 years of professional experience post MSc and BS in computer Engineering.
After MBA i would like to work in different industries such as general management, or consulting.
My intention is to change industry hopefully after MBA. Would this be possible that is a different question?

With all these reason, what you people suggest are best options for me in SOCAL? UCI, USc, Pepperdine, or chapman.

I know some one with similar background. He did borrow loan to pay for his MBA at USC hoping to switch field. He has not been successful last time I talked to him. Maybe the economy is getting better but he was tired of the commuting to LA area and was hoping an MBA would help.

Just out of curiosity, why aren’t you considering FEMBA at UCLA? You are right there in SoCal and UCLA is better ranked than the ones you are considering

Executive MBAs usually are for people who are already executives.

Rankings are vastly important for MBAs or there’s no point. I say UCLA or USC. Eliminate Chapman entirely.
