I’m sorry, but I don’t know where to go myself. Try and check out the cal grant website and look for a section having to do with “appeals” or something. That’s the best I can do. :(

@Tik1127‌

Print the Cal Grant Appeals Form here and mail it when you can.

Thank you. Just a question, where would I obtain a CSAC ID? I thought it would be in my FAFSA info, but it was not. I have yet to apply for a Cal Grant(Only information I got was Pell Grant estimate and the Loan amount), but appealing it anyways. Would I leave it blank? Because I searched around the site and could not obtain a CSAC ID number.

Just wondering, does anybody know when you receive a CSAC ID number? I am reading the site, and it states

“Many years ago CSAC replaced Social Security Numbers (SSN) with a unique student identification number called the CSAC ID as a means of identifying, tracking and sharing student information for its various financial aid programs.”

I filled out the FAFSA yesterday and I do not recall getting anything number of that sorts. I just got a conf number and a DRN number. Thank you.

They should have posted FA by now!!! If they want to get ahead, they gotta step up their game! I neeeed to know already!!!

I got an email about 2pm that my aid had posted. Finally!

I have a question… For my UCI award, it doesn’t show my cal grant. If that kicks in, is UCI going to take away from UCI grant aid or from the loans and work study first?

Pretty sure the UC Irvine grant includes your Cal grant.

*The Regents of the University of California and the State of California provide funding for UC Irvine Grant awards. The amount of your grant is based on demonstrated need and UCI awarding policies.

To remain eligible for these funds, you must be enrolled at least half-time (6.0 or more units) per term.*

I guess everyone have received their aids right now…how can we let them know if we’re not happy with it?!
My cost of attendance is $30,000, and my EFC is zero…they have offered me $20,000 in UCI grant and Cal grant…My work study is only $1500!! So I have to take out $8,500 of loans every year!!!
Is there anyway to let them know to offer me more work study and less loan?

I think 1500 is the cap on work study at uci…my efc is a little higher than yours and I will only have to pay about 1,200 (since my parents won’t take a loan) ,on top of loans and grants…etc…

that’s not good!

Got $22,000 in grants and need ~$10,000 in loans ‘n’ stuff.

@k4201505‌, aw really? I only got only like $2000 for UCI grant. I was hoping that the Cal Grant is separate from the university grant.

Its so weird berkeley and ucla offered me more than uci, plus covered insurance and gave me more work study

@bolandgoo‌ , call the office, your efc is 0!!! Fight!
