On the CAL Grant Site it won’t let me change school or address (the school listed is still my community college) I try sending them a email about it but so far nothing…?
So in the end do you think employ’s don’t care which school you went. I think UCI isn’t super prestigious over CSULB cause UCI isn’t on the top tier of UC schools right?
Does it REALLY matter what college you graduate from? So I’m deciding if I should go to UCI or CSULB for Psychology major as a transfer student. I denied UCSD, UCSB, UCB because I didn’t want to live there. I might want to minor in business, or writing.I can drive to UCI and CSULB both are the same distance, but I’m still worried about how it will cost me at UCI. So, does it matter where you go for your undergraduate degree, like do employee’s care (I’m hoping to get a better paying job) or when you apply to graduate school? I might get my master’s or not. (I kind of want to save up and do my own business maybe after my BA).
It is just a grain of salt. Some employers do care about the name and some don’t. Me and my classmates came from CSU’s and were able to get good paying jobs at Northrop Grumman, IBM, and etc. We had to compete against UC grads(such as UCI, UCLA, and etc.). In my opinion, there are many other factors that come into play other than school name when it comes to getting a job.
